As many of the finix team have a background in social care or health services, we have the ability to create training and/or programmes for local authorities, and the communities they support, in the areas of positive behaviour support, and behavioural approaches.

We have the ability to work with you to understand, advise, and create programmes for young people and families, who have behaviours of concern, or alternatively, specialist programmes for professionals.

 

We can deliver impactful learning and reflective sessions, so others can understand why behaviours of concern may arise, what functions of behaviour are there, and how can we best support people, and work with people on programmes to develop bespoke approaches to supporting the person.

Our approach will always use a "constructional" approach, that is we focus on the strengths of the person, on developing their everyday skills and how they can increase their presence in the community, their toolboxes to understand and manage any behaviours of concern, and how we can maximise the choice and control for the individual, all so we can support the person, and their families, to achieve a greater quality of life.

Quite simply, as quality of life increases, behaviours of concern decrease. Therefore we will always be focussed on positively supporting people, their families, and professionals - and the framing of our work is always strengths based, and focussed on improving quality of life for all involved, so interventions and programme outcomes are meaningful and sustainable.

The benefits of such programme development for local authority partners are many, such as;

- they are very cost effective due to the numbers of people we can engage on the programmes at any one time

- they are focussed on approaches that are sustainable, that is - the impact of the programme could impact the person positively for a lifetime

- there is long term cost reduction and/or cost avoidance for local authorities following these types of interventions, meaning that revenue savings over time compound 

- young people and their families are more empowered, and have the knowledge and skills they need to better self manage behaviours of concern, meaning a better quality of life for all involved
